Grilled NY Strip Steaks with Fresh Corn Salsa
Serves 4
Ingredients
4 Blue Ribbon NY Strip steaks
2 tablespoons olive oil
Instant Gourmet® Awake-A-Steak seasoning, to taste
Directions
Set your grill heat to high and close the lid. In the mean time, rub the steaks with the olive oil and season to taste with the Awake-A-Steak seasoning
Grill the steaks over high heat for one minute. Turn the steaks 90 degrees to make “cross marks”. Turn the steaks to another hot part of the grill and perform the “cross marking” on the other side of the steaks.
Lower the heat to med-low and move the steaks away from the direct heat of the burners. Turn the steaks every 2-3 minutes until grilled to taste. Remove the steaks and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Fresh Corn Salsa
Ingredients
4 ears corn, husk removed
1 tablespoon Nakano seasoned rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons red onion, diced fine or sliced very thin
½ red bell pepper, diced small
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped fine
½ fresh lime, juice only
Directions
Grill corn over med-high heat for 15 minutes. Let cool for 30 minutes. Remove the kernels and scrape the juices (or milk) from the cob.
Combine all ingredients in a med size bowl and mix well. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Outstanding with any grilled foods during the hot days of summer.
