Recipe of the Month
“Uncle” Mike’s Secret Ribs
Serves 4
ingredients
2 racks Blue Ribbon baby back ribs
2 tablespoons Instant Gourmet® Original seasoning
1 - 12 oz. beer
Your favorite BBQ sauce
directions
Scrape the tendon from the back side of the bone on each of the racks of ribs. Cut the racks in half.
Place the ribs into a large stock pot and add enough water to just submerge the ribs. Add the beer and seasoning and place over high heat until pot starts to boil. Reduce the heat to med-low and simmer the ribs for 45 minutes (or until the meat crawls up the rib bone by 1 inch. Remove the ribs and place on paper towels to drain.
Preheat your grill on high for 20 minutes. Sauce the ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce (one with brown sugar added works best). Grill on high for 3-4 minutes per side until desired charring is reached.
